Drakesbad Guest Ranch is closed for the season and will reopen on June 7th, 2019.
After a forty- three year presence at Lassen Volcanic National Park, we will be turning over the concession operations to Snow Mountain LLC, the company the National Park Service has selected as the new operator of the Lassen concession in a ten year contract effective January 1, 2019. We leave you with a heavy heart as Drakesbad has been our base of operation for a very long time.
We are confident we are leaving you in good hands with Snow Mountain and are so pleased that Ed and Billie Fiebiger will be staying on to help with the transition. Ed will consult with all things operational in opening Drakesbad for the 2019 season and Billie will still be the familiar voice on the phone taking care of reservations. Please welcome the new concessioner and help them learn what this place is all about. A lot has changed in the world under our tenure, but not so much at Drakesbad, that’s why it still is that magical place.
Thank you for allowing us to be your hosts for so many years,
John Koeberer and Pam Pitts
